There's little that can be done for a registry that is truly scewed up. Why not download a registry cleaner from one of the Internet Libraries like Zdnet( www.zdnet.com/swlib )
Just type in the lead-in "registry cleaner" in the search slot/hit the go button and then make a selection.

Depending on what part of the registry is broken, reinstalling windows could fix a lot of problems. Then again so would formatting and making a clean install.
