Ok I have two possibly linked problems. A while back during start up I got a blue screen with a INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE message. So I call tech support and I need my windows 2000 professional disk. (At this point my CD-rom was working). It took me a week to find the disk and I finally found it. I went to put it into the CD-ROM drive and the CD-ROM wont open. Also I do not see any lights flicker whenever I try to start up the computer. If anybody can help that would be great. I am trying to salvage some files I have on the hard drive and just need to be able to get them off. I have run a check disk and scan disk and there nothing comes up as being a problem.

Does your CD light come on? If you dont see the CD light it maybe a power supply problem. YOu can open up the case a make sure the power cable is in correctly.

The CD light does not come on so it could be power. I'm not entirly sure how to check that out but if someone tells me I can figure it out.
