My computer had been acting very funny lately. I thought I might have gotten a virus, so I insatlled McAfee trial version (I know I know - get anti-virus software already) but every time I ran it, or Seek & Destroy it flickered to a blue screen with a message like:

STOP: 0x0000007F (0x00000008, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
Beginning Dump of Physical Memory

It's always something like that but not usually the same exact. I ran hijack this - and this is what the log gives me:

Logfile of HijackThis v1.97.2

I would very much appreciate any help, and would love my computer to stop running so slow and restarting all the time. Thanks.

Go to PC Pit Stop and look in the upper left section. Click the "Full Test" button.

Follow the instructions and it will tell you everything about your unit. More important, it will tell you how to fix things.

Turn off the screensaver (if you have one setup) before you start the test.

Repost, I would like to know what you find.

In ur running processes, what the hell is

C:\unzipped\hijackthis\HijackThis.exe?

what kinda file is hijackthis.exe?
and also ur svchost.exe is running 3 times in one session?

dude normally it is observed that svchost.exe errors come cuz of damn blaster.worm, i would suggest u to get a removal tool and a patch for windows 2000 from microsoft`s site, apply it, and re install fresh windows copy and apply patch again or immediately update ur windows

to confirm my notions about registries, yes they indicate if you have hokey s--- on your comp.lol....

your registry is no where near as bad as the rest of the dudes today...however it illuminates things you need not post on misc. forums

windows "dumps physical memory" as a result of major crashes relating to your board or drive or controller card...usually your board
