how to i get my headphones to work with my sb live! card? i plugged in the same port as i did the speakers (i took the speaker cord out), and all i got was some static and i could hear the song in the background very quietly, and the volume of the song itself didn't change no matter how i changed the volume on the computer.
the rest of the ports just gave me silence, nothing at all. i have digital sound, boston acoustics speakers and a sub, and they sound great when played through them. i played around with some options, turned on and off "play only digital sound" and checked all the volumes, still didn't work.
so i've tried ALL the ports, checked all the volumes everywhere, and i still only get mostly static with a faint sound of the song on side of the headphones. i also tried several pairs to make sure it wasn't the headphones that were defective. hell, i even turned off the subwoofer completely and the same thing happened. i was unware it would even work at all without the sub on. I'm running Win2k. THANK you for any suggestions.
