Comment:
I have a Hauppauge WinTV/PCI Tuner. I have downloaded the newest win NT4.0 drivers which should also work fine with win2k. They should work, but they don't! Every time I start the WinTV application, the whole system freezez with any message. The only thing that I can do then, is to restart the system.

ArGH" I have the EXACT same problem! I had t on 98 at one point and i believe it was down to IRQ sharing, but alas i'll be f---ed if i can figure out how to make win2k allow me to change irqs.. I can either make the bios give the gfx + wintv irq 7 or allow win2k to whack every single card on irq 11

at first I thought that it was the IRQ, too. But it isn't the problem. After disabling ACPI every PCI Card had it own IRQ, but it doesn't work either. I currently use a program called MultiDec to watch TV on my Win2k. It's freeware, but I don't have the URL. If I got it, I'll place it here...

Actually it works perfectly. Go to the Happauge site and search for the win2k app and winnt drivers for win2000. It specifically states for win2000. download and install the drivers, restart install the application and you should be fine. You might want to remove the card and remove from device manager just to clean things out first. good luck

that's it! I've already dowloaded these drivers and this application, but it doesn't work! I think, it's because of my server version of win2k. But everything works correctly with another freeware TV application...

just bought wintv card, works perfectly with windows 98, not under win 2000 (got latest drivers today) problem is - nothing crashes but signal resolution almost non-existant, can't lock onto channel, antenna and cables ok (works with win 98) so my problem would seem to be to be the win 2k driver?, the fact that its freezing or crashing would normally be a conflict with other hardware try a hadware diagnosic program (demo even) is your bios set for pnp o/s, does it work under win 95/98 ?
