Installed a new hard drive today. BIOS sees it, device manager sees it, but it doesn't seem to have a drive letter. My main HD has been on the D: letter, with no C: (my C drive broke, I got it replaced and am now installing the replacement). What gives?

You need to partition it before it shows up in Windows as a drive letter.

You can then format it from DOS (if it's not NTFS) or right click on the drive in Windows Explorer and choose "format".
