Doc, sound like your server is using DHCP, or it's talking to something for 15 minutes. Well, static is the requirement for server anyway.

Can you take a look at the event viewer, and check to see if there's any network error?

I will check your post again in an hour!

LOL...it never fails to amaze me that so many people still think that a Server OS should run no different that a regular OS. You're running a Server OS and it's taking its time to load? That's normal. Don't panic. There's not a thing you can do about that. You want a faster loading OS...install Win2K Pro or Win9x.

10 to 15 minutes is not right. If a sever that takes that much time to load, then there's sth wrong. Do sth about it or you have to wait that long everytimes you reload it

The following messages are in my Event viewer upon boot-up.
Application Log-T
#1-The description for Event ID ( 2005 ) in Source ( rasctrs ) cannot

be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry

information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote

computer. The following information is part of the event:

#2-WMI ADAP was unable to load the winspool.drv performance library due

to an unknown problem within the library: 0x0

#3-The Group Policy client-side extension Security was passed flags

(17) and returned a failure status code of (1332).

No erros in the other 4 logs

I have also used static addresses-no help
Disabled Netbios-no help
Removed Netbeui-ho help

My sole protocol is now TCP/IP w/static addressing
Thanx again
