Is there a way to add more sites to the allowed sites list when using a proxy server through group policy? It seems to have reached a max on the number of sites that I can allow my users to view. I basically want them to view only the sites that I have approved. Maybe someone knows a better way of doing this?

No, I was not present for the initial setup so I am not exactly sure what they did. We have locations that access the server via terminal server. I want them to use Internet Explorer within terminal server. If you select the particular group and go to group policy/user configuration/windows settings/internet explorer maintenance/connection/proxy settings...that is what I am talking about. The person that set this up used TerminalServerBlockedIE port 80 as the address. When trying to list allowed sites it stops at 15 or so.

MS KB article 302224 mentions a limit of 255 characters in the proxy exceptions field. This might be your problem.

A bit off topic, but:

I only want to know what ports are used by the Group Policy to deploy them from the domain controller to the clienst.

I want to know that for security reasons because I don't want to open all ports in my network.
