Insert the W2K CD and run install, when get to the partitioning/formatting section, you can either change the partitions or leave them as are, on the next screen you can format the drive. This will totally wipe out data on the drive.

It is not feasible to downgrade XP to W2K!

You will not be able to do it from XP

You will have to set your bios to boot the W2K cd and install will start.

Highly suggest you delete the xp partition and recreate it so you have a clean install of W2K.

Might want to consider a multiboot since W2K is almost end of life and XP is newer.

That's a joke, right?

It wasn't meant to be funny but I am glad you got a tickle out of it. So of course I have to ask M2 why you thought it was funny? You know time is relative and "almost" is a couple of years +. Don't know about you but for me sometimes "yesterday" was 5 years ago.:-)

Not so much funny as tragic that so many folks get caught in the feeding frenzy of "upgrading".

IMO, Windows 2000 isn't out of date yet, but 98 is for the most part, and 95 is really out of date. Yet, people still use Windows 3.1 even, (including me once in awhile).

I guess "out of date" vaguely connotes "no longer useful", as in it won't run certain apps.

I'm still waiting to here about an app that I need which won't run on 98 or 2k.
