Thanks for all replies in advance. I have two computers both desk tops. 1 is running Win 2000 Pro and the other is running Win XP Home. I have run the workgroups wizard on both machines to network them together. The windows XP machine has full access to the 2000 machine but I cannot even see the XP machine from my 2000 machine. I have disabled the firewalls and ensured that both are named the same. Both have access to the Internet and other than the 2000 machine not being able to see the XP machine everything is working fine. I could use any suggestions on how to resolve this problem. The exact error message that I am getting is -- Workgroup is not accessible. The network path was not found. I can ping my router and the windows XP machine without any problems.
"I have disabled the firewalls and ensured that both are named the same." Each computer should have a different name. For example: Proctor1 and Procter2, or Bill and John, etc. You might want to check your "protocols" under "network" in the control panels.
