I can't get windows ME to work because
it says in my current OS (windows 2000) that
win98 can't run in windows NT. So I'm
thinking that I have to get a boot disk
but I've tried that and I don't get access to the CD-ROM drive or hard drive. I don't want to format my hard drive because I have a lot of important things on it. I've also
tried using the boot disk that came with win2000 but that just sends me to the win2000 CD but only if it sees it. What should I do?

Are you trying to do a dual boot of ME and W2K? I'm confused.
If you are you will need to get a hold of partition magic and create a new FAT32 partition and install ME on that partition. You'll then have to edit the MBR (Master boot record)to be able to do a dual boot.
