Getting DNS name from IP address

Does anyone know a command that will get a PC's network name by typing in it's IP. Other than 'ping' that is. I want to pipe the results to a text file and don't want all the other junk that 'ping' puts out.

you have to set up a reverse lookup zone for your dns server. once that is done, from the command prompt type "nslookup [ip address]"
