Hi all,
I am trying to schedule a task to ftp a text file from windows to linux server. This scheduled task will have to login to the server. I have never used ftp before, all i am doing is taking the file from a directory in windows and putting it in a directory in linux.

You'll need to use an ftp client, and create a connection to that FTP server, using a valid username and password for that server.

Use a tool call Webdrive. What this tool does is make ftp connections act like mapped drives on your windows system.
Setup Webdrive to automatically connect to your linux system. Then when you setup the scheduled task in windows, just tell windows to copy the text file to the "mapped" ftp drive.
