Ive seen some previous messages on this subject but none seems to help. Has anyone attemted to apply the shutdown supplement patch issued by Microsoft for Win98SE? It sounds like it might work... Thanks in advance for any help

I had my Win2000 freeze on shutdown. The advice I received from someone at this forum helped solve the problem.

Right-Click on My Computer
Choose Properties
Select Device Manager Button
Select View Button
Select show Hidden Devices
Expand NT APM/Legacy
Right-Click & Enable Legacy
Reboot

Hopefully Problem Solved.
