Found New Hardware-No New Hardware

Specs: Windows 2000 sp4, 1.70ghz/523568kb

I installed a Hp4550 on this computer and it was working fine. Now when you start the computer it tells you that it found new hardware and it shows the printer. The printer works fine but the message is annoying.

Just cancel it and configure to not ask again.

look in device manager and verify that there isnt a problem with existing hardware.

Everything looks fine in the device manager. Where would I go to configure it not to ask again. When I cancel the message, everything disappears.

dont cancel the wizard, click next on through it and there is an option at the end

Sometimes this is caused by a conflict WITH A irq, io Address, etc. The conflict won't keep the devices from working. Unless it is a critical server just eliminate the message as above.
