Does formatting your hard disk remove all files is there a any way to recover my data after format?
If you want to format, and you consider some data as valuable, perform a backup first. If you are uncomfortable with doing this on your own (and some are), you have an option to go to a local technician or CompUSA/Best Buy/Radio Shack/etc and explain to them that you'd like your data backed up. Chances are they can do it for you at a small cost to you. Then you can safely format. Hope that helps :)

Just make sure that you don't do anything else with the machine. Then check on the web for file recovery programs. They come in all kinds of flavors and prices, but that's what you're gonna need.
