Just bought a new hard drive to replace my old OS drive. Installed windows on the new drive. However, I need to somehow retreive my Firefox and Thunderbird settings (i.e. Bookmarks, history, mail, address book, other settings in Thunderbird and Firefox)from the old OS drive, to the new drive with a fresh install of Win2k. Currently, I have my new drive as Master and my old one hooked up as a slave. The old drive still has windows 2000 on it, in fact, by changing jumpers, I can still boot to windows with it if I need to. I initially was afraid that if a computer has 2 OS drives installed, it may get confused, but this is not the case. I can access the old OS drive as if it were just like an ordinary slave drive. I hooked it up this way in order to make it easier to transfer important information to my new drive. This is why I'm here asking this question. I would like to transfer all of my Settings from Firefox and Thunderbird to my new drive. Can this be done? I did initially transfer my Thunderbird profile from the old drive to the correct folder on the new one, but after opening thunderbird, I didn't see any of my old stuff. The same goes for Firefox. If anyone can help me with this problem I will be extremely happy, Thank you. |
