I am running a Win 2K domain with over 700 users, and we are using DFS. Using DFS can disply hundreds of links under a single root. Is there a way to allow a user to only view folders that they have permissions to? I know I can purchase third party software to do this, but would like to know if this can be done by Windows.

I'm not really familiar with DFS, but you could create all the shares as Admin shares. That way, you'd accomplish what you want... users can see only those shares that they know exist and have permission to access.
