File Replication

Hey Everyone, this is my first post. I've been reading about file replication and I am trying to move files from a 2000 server to a 2003 server in a domain. My question is what is the easiest way to move over the info from the old(2000) to new(2003) server and all the shares without haveing to re-aim all the users to the new server. (1)The two servers are not domain controllers they are file servers. (2) The drive space is also two different sizes, the new server has more space than the old so I know it'll fit. Going back to file replication, since we have roaming profiles would the replication help keep the profiles up to date until we take the old server down?
Summary: My domain is called CIS(is this OK?) and my servers are called frodo(DC) and frodo1(BDC). Frodo is the DNS server and resolves frodo, frodo.cis, frodo1 and frodo1.cis. However I get an error in the FR...
