It's on a friend of mine's Toshiba 460cdt

It looks like that PC is infected with Backdoor subseven or its variants.

You need to ask your friend to run an Online Antivirus scanner like HouseCall or Panda to detect and remove the virus and then after disnfecting the PC, install and update a good Antivirus Program and Firewall and follow Safe Computing practices to prevent such attacks.

Hi and thank you for your concern

We ran Norton's Antivirus yesterday and also SpyBot and AdAware, we did have the Gaobot!inf virus which we were able to Quarantine, but it didn't show up Msr.exe as any virus. The virus defenitions were dated 9 May 2004

However I think your idea of getting an online scan is a good idea and we will give that a try and I will post back the outcome.
