I have an External CDroom writer(compact) which connected to the lacei case to provide the power...and the CD connected to the pc by USB port but when i plug it, the windows define it as a mass storege at the usb ports in the device manager.

i tried to redefine it as cd writer but no way the pc could recognise it .

Thanx

Do you have a least Sevice Pack 3 installed, Microsoft include a better range of USB drivers in the 3 and 4 SP's.
