explorer.exe file won't run on boot

OS: windows 2000
CPU/Ram: pentium4
Comment:

I get a blue screen when I boot my system. It seems that either explorer.exe is not running on boot or something is in front of it.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated?

It should be the problem of regedit list.
If you have the backup file of the regedit list. I think you may try to input it in the dos mode.
