Recently I have been receiving an error message: "explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows" This error occurs when I click on my Start menu and scroll up. If I don't select a program to load immediately this error message occurs and locks up the comptuer until I click OK and allow the screen to reset. It seems to effect only the Start menu. The loaded programs work okay. Any ideas?

scrolling eats up RAM. sounds like a bad Ram stick. download memtest86 and run it!

I noted in a previous request for help that I get the error "Explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows" I haven't been able to fix it. Now there is an added symptom: I cannot add any shortcuts to the start menu by dragging to the Start logo on the bottom-left of the screen. This is something I just noticed and might be significant.
