I can't help, but maybe adding my problem will encourage a response for both of us... I am getting the same Program Error message, combined with an Application Error that says "The instruction 0x77fcc73c referenced memory at 0x00640005c [and sometime 0xfffffff8]. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate..." This is W2000 and the software is fully updated via the MS site. Help!

maybe a 3rd will help.

When I click on START -> SEARCH -> Files/Folders in Win2K I get an explorer.exe Application Error that says "The instruction 0x35f73bba referenced memory at 0x000000024 The memory could not be read.

Click OK to terminate... CANCEL to Debug".

If I choose CANCEL then a Program Error occurs stating that Explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows, an error log is being created. Then All Icons go away (explorer closes) and explorer restarts.
If I click OK, explorer closes/restarts & everything works until I try a SEARCH again.

Hi,
I cannot tell you the solution. but adding my problem might get us a solution.
I am getting a strange error in Window 2000.
When i right click the mouse and click on the refresh button continuously for 4 or 5 times, i will get an error saying "The instruction 0x70d47ea referenced memory at 0x000000024 The memory could not be read.

Click OK to terminate... CANCEL to Debug".

If i click on ok it will restart the explorer.

Any Help.
