I have Windows 2000 SP 2 and I still have problems with Explorer.exe crashing when I select documents and copy, paste, and delete them, especially using the shortcut keys (ctrl-c, ctrl-x, shift-del). There are several of us at my workplace with this problem. Does anyone know how to help.

Most of the time reason for explorer to crash is because of some bad display driver or something like that. The easiest way to find that out is to press F8 when the system boots up and press F8 and boot it in to safe mode. If there is no problems, boot back to normal mde and change the display type to 256 colors from 65336 or 16 bit true color.Try it and see.

I also have Windows 2000 SP 2 and I still have the same problems with Explorer.exe (crashing when select, copy, paste or delete). A view weeks ago, I bought a new computer but the problems are still the same. I think, the display driver is not responsible, because the new graphic card is from an other manufacturer with other drivers. So I think, one of my programs I use, is responsible for the crashes (SP2 ???). Does anybody know which software could be responsible?
