The problem:
Exchange 5.5 running on NT4 box.
It was put on a small partition some time ago i.e. on an 10GB drive
The database has reached 8GB on the D:\ partition and there is NOTHING left !!!There is only 70MB free space free on the C:\ partition.
Now I’m looking for a quick cheap but clean solution to the problem as Exchange keeps crashing, amazing it’s running at all.
I have a 2nd Drive with 26GB free space. F:\
Can I use partition magic to join C: and D: Yes I would say, but not really worth the effort with risking the O/S running short of memory anyway! + would Exchange like the drive letter changing etc… ?
There is nothing else on the D:\ partition to clear off, just Exchange!
I do have a 2nd Server, but I’ve been unable to get hold of a module so I can't use Backup Exec to backup the 2nd Server **great**
So I want to move it to the F:\ drive
Suggestions please, working ones thanx!
Urgent so any advice welcome ?
John

I used the PowerQuest Volume Manager. I went from 10gb to 90gb (added an 80gb drive). It takes a while for the changes to occur (exchange server will be down during this time), but well worth it.
Very easy to do this with above software. It is very user friendly.
