ARRGGGGHHHH!!
Somebody please help me!!
Currently doing the MS Exchange 2000 sylabus - having problems with installing a 2nd exchange server in the domain. I have followed the instructions to the letter (so far as i can tell!)detailed in the book exercises and receive the following error during the 2nd server installation
"Setup failed due to sub component - Information store service 0X80090006"
The exchange installation log states (as far as i can make out) that the server name could not be found (no object) and offers the closest match, which does detail the correct information for the 2nd server.
The network is configured as follows:
1 domain - all static IP's
2 x DC - 1 is the DNS/exchange 1st install
The other is additional DC (Target 2nd exchange install)
Both servers are supposed to be going into the same routing group, the connector type doesnt seem to matter.
It appeared that perhaps the 2nd server didnt appear in AD, however this isnt the case as it does have an entry under DC's.
Have tried numerous times to re-image and start again - both DC's are running Serv 2k eval with no extra apps installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated (dont think my keyboard will take much more fist hammering!!)
Thanks v.much in anticipation!!

Bruce
