I downloaded an excel spreadsheet from the internet. This spreadsheet contains some valueable data and also contains some pictures. I want to delete the pictures but when I click on the area it wont even let me select it. It looks like it is permanetly inprinted in there. Is there any way to remove those pictures? They don't look like backgrounds. Who made this spreadsheet got the pictures in there some how. Please Help. Thank You.

I think I figured out why I cant delete the pictures. It looks like it is password protected. Is there any programs that give you the password?

Why don't you just select the data portion of it and paste it to a new excel document?

Hi,

It's seems the object is protected . You need the password of the sheet to unlock it (in the protection menu, XL is able to protect only objects except everything else ).No other idea for the moment....

Can you reference any of the cells from a sheet in a new workbook?

If so, you can get the values out. (This trick works even for most corrupted files)

However, it doesn't sound to me like usual password protection.

There are net based services which will break files open for you - have a hunt around on google.

Tom
