I've a lan with 4 pc with win 2k server on one of them and win 2k on the other.
The user XXX logs itself on the machine PC1 and personalize his desktop on that PC. If he logs on another PC (for example PC2) he has (obviously) another desktop.
How can I do that every user can have the same desktop on each computer he logs on?

It would be very useful, infact if I've to change or reinstall a PC I don't need to riconfigure the personalization of the desktop of each user.

Thanks to everyone would help me.

Antonio,
What your users need are Roaming Profiles. This requires your network to be a domain, then go into the Properties of every User and point the Profile to a folder on the server. Make sure you set the permission correctly on the server folders you will use for your profiles. Then go to each machine's Control Panel, System, User Profile, select Copy to, then find that person's folder on the server to copy it to. Then logoff, logon, and do this on all 4 pc's. Now your profiles are on the server and whereever a user logs in, they will see their familiar desktop. Again...this will only work in a domain environment, not workgroup.

You can do roaming profiles without a domain or without server edition for that matter. You'll need a network setup with a shared folder in which the users profiles are stored.
