Ethernet connection icon lost

Got a win2k, the ethernet connection icon is missed from My Network places->property.
(I am still working well with the network).
SO I could not edit the ethernet properties, for example, setting ip address/dns, remove the novell client...
Pls show me how to get the LAN connection icon back into the Network Places.
