I have an plextor 8/4/32 IDE, after installing windows 2000 the error "can't find wnaspi32.dll.
I fixed that problem using a link in an previous message here.
After i fixed that problem i now recive:
"Error retrieving scsi/ide bus information
No scsi adapter found"Why an scsi adpater when it is an IDE??
Anyone have clue??

This message is given to you (im guessing) from the CD Burner program (EZ CD?)
If that is the case you need to update your burners firmware (yes I know it is new) but go to Plextor's web site or to adaptec and get the LATEST FIRMWARE.

Ok.
I thought it might have something to do with that or the program, it was winoncd 3.6 I used.
I installed adaptect 4.0 deluxe and it said nothing but I haven't tried it yet.
I shall now download the new firmware and hope for the best.
The only problem I have left now is the fu**ing 3com Ethernet III 509b combo that refuses to work properly. Thanks for the tip.

I know the message from WinOnCD 3.6 about "Error no SCSI..." it has a Problem with its own ASPI Layer under W2K. Has nothing to do with the firmware of your drive (get the latest anyway, they may have improved the drive somehow). For your problem search for files calles c2aspi.* and delete the .sys one and move the .dll one into your WinOnCD directory. Then reboot and make sure you have the newest ASPI from ADAPTEC running (Version 4.6). How to install look here http://members.home.com/mlafreniere1/
don't get messed up with the nero stuff on that page Adaptec ASPI will run with WinOnCD as well.
