hi all, I have an ibm thinkpad a21m (laptop) - OS:WIN2K - P3 800Mhz.
Lately the trackpoint (built in mouse on keyboard) isn't working. Using an external USB mouse its fine. BIOS settings have been checked and even tried updating the trackpoint drivers (but no luck, drivers doesnt detect hardware). When i boot up i get this error msg "ERROR 0210: Stuck Key " and to fix, i need to keep going into the bios hit F10 (save and exit) for the boot process to continue. The keyboard looks fine (no stuck keys) but im thinkn the reason why this error msg is present and the new drivers dont detect is due to the pointer tracker (onboard mouse)possibly being faulty or damaged (?). Can someone pls provide any further troubleshooting steps to try and isolate/rectify this prob? Any info would be much apprecitated. Thanks all :)

Sounds like one of two things...
1. Somebody spilled somthing or got some sticky junk in there and one of the keys is semi gummy.
2. The machine got banged around once too many times and one of the connections is slightly ajar.
So basically it sounds like it's hardware and not software, so you'll probably have to pull it apart yourself, or else take it to someone (or call IBM if it's under warranty)...
