I just build myself a barebone system. I have installed all equipment but now I want to install W2K on it. I get an error during startup of the system:
First i get during startup:
EPX-E61: Media Test Failure, check cable

then it goes on and it gives me the error:
Failed to ARCRead the boot partition

Then it starts with W2k installation and says:

I/O Error: Status = 00002000

I have been playing with the BIOS as suggested in other posts on this forum. Made the HD the boot device, switched with the DVD Drive, etc.

I noticed that the BIOS recognizes teh HD but then somehow looses the info again upon reboot. But not always, only the above error is there all the time.
