Anyone out there that can help me with the annoying, frustrating and never-ending problem as stated above ??? The situation here is like this: Everytime I view my drive C: using Windows Explorer my PC just for no whatsoever reasons, automatically restarts... OK, fine, I finally ran a scan on my drive C: and caught 2 trojans... one named msfind.exe and the other mssys dot something... After this, I thought the world would be back to normal... and it did... for a few days... after that, this inexplicable problem pops it ugly head up again... Any messiahs out there who can show me how can I solve this ???

Run Anti-Virus again and also run adware software which cleans your registry with unecessary entries. Its a freeware and delete all the registry items it selects for you as they are all unwanted registries. if you want you can retract some of the deleted registries later.

Write back if you have tried this already or when you are successful in correcting the problem.

Are you able to access C drive from the RUN window?

if your PC auto-restarts, rt click on MY COMPUTER > PROPERTIES > ADVANCED > STARTUP AND RECOVERY ..

there's an option of AUTO REBOOT ON SYSTEM FAILURE

just uncheck that...

go to safe mode, run a antiviurs scan and a spyware scan... get all the crap out

and then boot normally and see if it helps

possible msblaster victim, run a firewall to ensure remote connections to windows registry are not possible.

download stand alone prog from antivirus designed to kill viruses.

patch windows vulnerabilities with win update.

of course its entirely possible your not infected and have a cat chewing through your wires.
