enable usb

When I try to plug in my digital camers I get "USB not eneabled.Previous comments have said to enable usb in the BIOS, but how should I do this?

Usually the way in to BIOS is to press either DEL or F2 while the PC is booting.
After the 'video' sign-on but before the w2000 starts.
It often takes a few tries.
Once in look for the section called 'peripherals' or some such.

In addition to what M2 has stated you may have options for USB 1.1 and/or USB 2.0. Enable both if available. After saving and exiting you will boot to windows where windows should find the new hardware and attempt installing it. If you have a CD for motherboard software I suggest you hit escape at that time and then install the Win2000 USB drivers from that disk. Reboot and then windows should find and use those drivers. There is a possibility that the USB ports are enabled in the BIOS but disabled in Device manager. Before bothering with anything else go to device manager and see if there are any entries for USB there.
