Enable DMA on HD

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can enable DMA on my HD? The reason I ask is, if I look at the properties of this new western digital drive in Device Manager, there are 3 tabs. Nowhere in any of the 3 tabs is there an option to enable DMA. You suppose it's automatically enabled by the O/S? Or is this setting somewhere else in Windows 2000 Pro? Thanks in advance.

In Win 2K you set DMA under the IDE controllers. In Device Manager select IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, right click on each controller, select Properties, and the settings are under the Advanced Settings tab.

Thanks, I found the setting, and it already was set for "DMA if available" on the Primary IDE channel controller, where my HD is. However, the secondary IDE channel controller said PIO mode on both devices, one is a CDROM, the other is CDRW. Is this correct, or should I change the secondary IDE controller to "DMA if available"? Is there any valid reason to leave the secondary channel in PIO mode?
