Hello!
For work-related reasons, I am attempting to modify the default cursors used in Windows, but I can't seem to find them. I am trying to change the pointers to non-custom pointers in Matlab, but as those are limited by size, I am attempting this route. Note that even if I change the cursor scheme (like to 3D or Dinosaur), when I put the pointer over the Matlab window, it reverts to the Windows' defaults. So I tried all of the cursors in the C:\WINNT\Corsors (actually deleted them just to check) as well as the ones that are in the Visual Studio directories, but to no luck. Even after a restart, my cursors are still the same. I looked at the registry to check if I could change it there (under HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Control Panel >> Cursors, but I've had no luck as it only lets me edit the string name of the icon. So my question is, are these cursors built into Windows and are non-editable? (Although I highly doubt that) Or are they part of some other file? I did a search for all .cur files, and there aren't anymore. Does anyone have any insight? I appreciate it!
