dynamic disk error can't convert in

CPU/Ram: 256 mb

my second hard disk appers in the disk menager with a red x on it
i can't convert it back to basic
windows recognizes only 2 g out of 20 g
what should i do ?

Have you tried to format it? It sounds like it is FAT 16 and that is why it shows as 2 gig

If memory serves, according to Microsoft once a Basic has been made Dynamic, it can't go back. However...what they ALSO tell you is that it *can* be done, but the volume would have to be blank first. Transfer whatever files you have from the 2GB elsewhere, then format the drive (removing partitions as well) and you should be able to convert it back to Basic with no trouble.

it couldnt be formated
it was not accesible
it wasnt on line and couldn't be changed to online
there is no information on disk
