Comment:

Ihave a 750Mhz comp, with 256 RAM and a 10x Pioneer DVD, I just upgraded and installed Windows 2000 from Win98, I reinstalled WINDVD which was running fine in Windows 98 and now although the program seems to run properly and detects the DVD, absolutely nothing happens. When I press play it just sits there. Could it be a problem with drivers?? I dont have any on disc and Windows detected it automatically, could it be that win2k is recognising it as a cd rom instead of a dvd rom??
Any help would be appreciated.

it could make a difference...have you checked the version is compatible with win2000?

try WINDVD support site..

they may be able to help.. also could try downloading a trial of a newer version to see what happens

Hey man, Win DVD has a different version for working under win 2000. I know this because the dell that i bought a year ago, came with two versions of win dvd, one cd for windows 98 and the other cd for win 2000. I dont think you can use the version produced for win98 on win 2000.. something to do with how the kernel access the dvd player on your comp
