After upgrading from win 98 to win 2k my dvd player does not work.
Sys consists of HDD (Master) and CD/RW (Slave) on Primary IDE cable and Toshiba DVD Rom SD-M1202 (Slave) on Secondary IDE cable.
As the CD/RW was added to sys after purchase the drive letters where as follows:
HDD - C:/D:
DVD - E:
CD/RW - F:
Upgrade -> format c:, fresh install of win 2k, to my surprise vid, snd and modem drivers all updated automatically.
But after installing Cinemaster V 1.5.00.1051/0.9.06.1311 which was the original DVD software DVD ply does not work.... get following error msg:
'Dvdplayer.exe entry point not found.
The procedure entry point k32thk1632prolog could not be located in the dynamic
link library kernel32.dll'
Drive letters had changed as follows:
HDD -> C:/D:
CD/RW -> E:
DVD -> F:
Thought this may have someting to do with it but not sure, also unable to locate where I
could change drv letters in Win 2K. Have not loaded software for CD/RW yet as want to try
and get this sorted first. I have uninstalled/reinstalled dvd software a number of times but with no success, also tryed updating drv for DVD-Rom but was advised it was already up to date.
Any help much appreciated.Thanks
Sean

Hi,
Have you loaded the drivers for win98 or for win 2k.
Sounds like the drivers are wrong.Also you might have to download compatible software.

Thanks for the response.. are you referring to drivers for the dvd rom itself or vid drivers??
If the dvd rom any idea where I could download them.
Already searched the net for the same software but compatible with win2k without any success.Thanks again
Sean
