Hello, i recently installed XP on my gateway computer, but know i cant view dvds it tells me i am missing a dvd deoder. I wanna if, i have anthoer computer a Dell that has XP as its original op system. can i install the dell dvd into the gateway to fix it

Dells come with a CD that has WinDVD on it. During installation WinDVD checks to see if it is being installed on a Dell. It won't instal on another type of computer.

well for some reason the url won't let me post here. Go to www.google.com and type in WinDVD. The very first entry will say Free intervideo WinDVD. Click on that url and go from there.
