Comment:

Greetings,

I have a dualhomed win2k server at office. Everytime it starts I get the
message "A duplicate name exists on the network and eventually some services
fails.

NIC1 - 192.168.0.1 / 255.255.255.0 Pref DNS : 192.168.0.101 - No WIN
servers and hence not defined

NIC2 - 192.9.196.1 / 255.255.255.0 Pref DNS : 192.168.0.101- No WIN
servers and hence not defined

I went through the kb article Q198644 but still not clear. I would really
appreciate some suggestions/guidance in solving the problem.

Thanks in advance,
Shafeeq.

P.S. Also here is the result from nbtstat -n:
Private LAN:
Node IpAddress: [192.168.0.151] Scope Id: []

NetBIOS Local Name Table
