I have boot problem. On Hard Disc 2 I had 2000pro installed ( "C" Primary). I added a 50mb FAT partition before the 2000pro OS and installed BOOT MAGIC. I then installed XP Pro ("X" Primary)on Hard Disc 1. I would get the option to boot up either OS at start up but not thru BOOT MAGIC. XP would start fine but when trying to start 2000pro i would get the error that hal.dll was missing or corrupt. Everything is formatted to NFTS except the partintion for BOOT MAGIC. After futzing with the settings in BOOT MAGIC trying to get 2000pro to boot i screwed up and now neither OS's will boot and I'm getting the same error: hal.dll was missing or corrupt. Please Help! How do I get these systems to boot. Either would be fine for the moment as long as I don't have to reformat anything on disc 2.

Matt

You can try running a repair on both OS's. You should know that 3'd party boot managers aren't needed with 2000/XP. All you had to do was simply install XP and both would have worked fine.

Thanks for the response. Acronis solved my problem. For whatever reason I was not able to boot using Xp or Boot Magic.
