At work they want a dualboot system with W2K and W2K. Is this even possible? Do you need 2 NIC cards to make it work on the network? I know there are MANY easier more logical solutions to this but this is what they want to do. I have found numerous helpful posts on dualbooting every other operating system but none dualbooting with the same OS. Thanks...

it's possible. (I don't know why anyone would want to do it, however). Just install each one to a different partition. You don't need two NIC's, you just have to configure the network settings for each installation.

I'd be interested in why someone would want to dual boot the same operation system. I'm only asking because there might be a better way to do the task.

I have had reasons in the past for dual booting the same os. For example if working in both windows 2000 and windows xp, there are differences in the vb .dll's that cause issue on pc's that don't have xp when distributing an application. There are other such problems that come to mind, but I didn't want to get too deep in the subject.

I used to have 2 partitions with win2k when I first got it so I could frig something up and still be up and running.Sounds stupid but when I was learning it made playing with the OS alot more fun.

I want one OS for games, Internet, and
word processing and another trimed
down and dedicated to video editing. Is
there a better way to do this than two W2K
opporating systems?
