Hi, I used to run and dual boot Win98 and W2K Pro with no problems whatso ever using a combination of Partition Magic 5.01 and Bootmagic 1.01. However the times have changed and I upgraded to (actually full installed) Windows 2000 Advanced Server as my main OS (fast ... really damn fast and STABLE)however upon installation of W2K AD Server (on a fresh HD) everything went smoothly. The problem came up when it was time for me to install Windows ME!..

First Partition Magic doesn't support W2K Server Family, therefore I wasn't able to make new partition. Is there a way around this? Maybe fool Parition Magic that it's using W2k Pro (Ican't see a difference).

Secondly Will Windows ME Dual boot with W2K Server? I am just guessing Bootmagic will work (it's adamn good program).

I have just tried, and since W2k is on my ONLY partition I cannot install bootmagic/partition magic.

Are there any other OS loaders that will allow the 2 to work in tandem?

Also would it work if I installed WindowsME first... then install W2k Advanced server on another drive or partition, so that the W2K boot Menu would take over?

I really don't care how it's going to be done. I just need the 2 OS for the perfect MS experience!! hehe.. STablity.. and WIN ME for gaming!

Thanks.. Any info would help

Sure, you can dual.. triple boot with just about anything. I have Win ME and Win2k dual booted. I just use fdisk... so if you wanna know that method, just gimme a reply or email me. Just make sure Windows 2000 or any of it's family has it's OWN PARTITION, other than that.. your set. BTW, I'd install WinMe first on one partition than Win2k next on another partition.

I have a similar problem. I had win2k on one disk and win98 on another. I did a fresh install of winME to replace win98. Now, I don't even get an option to boot win2k server and since it's NTFS, I can't even get to that drive to get all my stuff off of it. Does anyone know a fix?
