I am currently dual booting win 98 and win 2000 on the same partition.

I what to change win 2000 fat32 partitioner to ntfs?

Will win 98 disappear???

I had some problems creating partitioner when dual booting win98 and win 2000 on the same partition using partition Magic. anyone every had that problem?

Yes, if they are on the same partition you will not be able to use 98. They need to be on separate partitions.

As Tony advises, if C: becomes ntfs then bye-bye access to '98...

For '9x to boot, the active Primary partition must be a file format it can recognise (at boot-time); and this must also contain' '98 boot/start-up files - even though the actual OS itself (its system files) can be elsewhere...

Post-21665 (#5) on this W2K forum explains the basics behind dual-booting '9x/W2K; perhaps worth a browse so you understand more fully the how/whys of it all?
