Hi
I anyone tell me how to uninstall the dual boot driver and uninstall win98.I just want to have windows2000 in my PC
Thanks

open C:\boot.ini remove the line that has Windows 98 in it make sure not to mess with anything else save it then it should be gone from the boot menu

If you really want to remove the menu, boot up with your bootdisks (may take some time) and let setup repair the bootsector.

Simple: boot to W2K; verify default OS to boot = W2K; locate/delete the '98 folder from the drive (via Explorer); locate/edit out reference to '98 in boot.ini; also locate/delete the bootsect.dos from the c: root; job done.
Renew ERD once '98 has gone.
Boot.ini is a hidden file; so you need to enable the show all files option in the Explorere\View menu so as to see the boot.ini in the Explorer window.
Edit boot.ini via notepad; save changes afterwards...
You will still have the boot-menu, as its an integral part of W2K/NT OS; but '98 will have gone.
You can set default time to boot to be zero - but not wise; better to have it at least 10secs. (but is the default 30secs. too long to wait?).
