Comment: Who can give me a good discription about dual booting Win2k and Suse linux 7.0. When I install linux after win2k , the setup of linux tells me I have to install linux under the 1024 (clusters?), because my bios doesn`t support else, so I can`t boot linux. Who can give me a good description or documentation about dual booting win2k and suse linux 7.0? My hd is made : C->9gb fat32 D: 9gb rest of 10 mb for Linux Help me !

Reply: (edit)It seems you have an old BIOS. Linux should have no problem booting from anywhere on your disk with newer BIOSes. Check your motherboard manufacturer's web site and see if you can get a BIOS update. If not, you have to set up your system such that the Linux boot is within the 1024 cylinder limit. Just create your Linux primary partition within the first 1024 cylinders of your hard disk.
