Ram

Hello.....I can send you my copy of bootsect.dos......but I think the file is specific to your partitions and the file system your using. For instance whether your hard drive is formatted using Fat 16 or Fat 32. Let me know if your want my copy.
I made the mistake deleting bootsect.dos thinking it was a backup file that I didnt need.

Try this,
Boot into 98 (I guess you don't have any choice). Insert your 2k pro cd and run the setup. The computer will reboot and start the Win2k Setup. Let the Setup go through the first step and cancel out of it. Reboot your computer and you should have the choice of Win 2k Pro, Win 2k Pro Setup, and Win 98. Choose 98 or 2k, but not the setup, then go in and edit the boot.ini file and delete the Win 2k Pro Setup line and reset the timeout to whatever you want. This should get you back up and dual booting.

I have worked with w2k but recently till i installed linux 6.0 when booting, w2k could not boot, only appear the sentence NTLDR missing press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. Linux is still working well. Please advise how to rescure w2k.
