Comment: Hi I have windows 2000 installed and want to also have an option to start up in Dos. Windows 2000 is NTFS. How do I do this without wiping the NTFS partition. Do I boot in dos and fdisk it? Thanks Ken

Reply: (edit)The only you can do that is to start setting-up your DOS before installing Windows 2000 on the same machine. But for me i recommend to have a two partition for that machine, one is for DOS and the other one is for Windows. Your problem is that you cannot create a dual boot that having Windows installed first on your machine. This is based on my experience and what i've read. Hope this would help and address your problem. Try this.

Reply: (edit)I thought one could add entries to the windows 2000 boot loader if you want to add operating systems after loading 2000. But if not, would a simple re-install of the operating system suffice? or would one have to wipe the drive and start over? Thanks
